    1. I like the two other Larry Fondation books I've read. Having just finished this one I'll say, for now, that it has the rage and anger, as well as perversity, that's common to his other books, but unlike the others it also has a section dealing with soldiers in the iraq (or second persian) war. Much death. Brutality and inhumane act throughout, in short tales that often cover only two pages.More to say in time . . That time is now, and here:winnipegreview/wp/2015

    2. This book had a collection of many short stories. Stories from encounters with women, drinking, soldier’s sexual experiences, soldier’s that return from Iraq. And plenty more Short fiction stories. Even though many of them were about subjects I’d never read, I keep turning pages reading more. I liked the stories that told a solder’s tale of duty in Iraq, Afghanistan. Different lives, different experiences of peoples daily lives. I enjoyed all the stories in this book.

    5. A FANTASTIC BOOK. EACH STORY AND POEM A MARVEL TO READ. IF YOU'VE EVER TAKEN A PUNCH TO THE JAW, IF YOU'VE EVER TAKEN A DIRTY WOMAN HOME FROM AN EVEN DIRTIER BAR, THOUGHT NOTHING ABOUT CASUAL GUN VIOLENCE, THEN THIS MAY BE THE BOOK FOR YOU. I LOVED IT. SAYS A LOT ABOUT MY CHARACTER
