    1. I am really enjoying this series!! SO looking forward to the novellas and of course book 3!I Just love all of the twists in this book! There is the action, some romance and a great message. Like Julia, we battle each day to follow God and have faith. It can be challenging in the world we live in where the devil is constantly at work. I would highly recommend this book for many readers!!

    2. Full Review at: What's Beyond Forks? There is some intense spiritual warfare going on, and now it's gotten more personal for Julia as it's affecting her family and friends even worse than before. It was a little slow to start, but once it got going, it was hard to put down. I wasn't ready for it to end, but I'm completely pumped for the next book! When Smoke Rains Down by Cecelia Earl was kindly provided to me by YA Bound for review. The opinions are my own.

    3. Exciting second installment in the Kingdom Come series. Julia learns a lot about the battle between Heaven and Hell and about herself. Some people have commented that they don't like her in this or the first book but she learned from an early age to only count on herself—not even her mother, since Julia seems to have made herself Melissa's parent as well. The devotion to the people she loves is inspiring. I love Mitch's insistence on not being protected and I'm so glad Julia turned away from h [...]

    4. I have really enjoyed reading this series. This book was even better than the first! I feel like I have learned so much more about this world of good versus evil and how it functions. I kept reading to find out more about Julia's father, the complicated relationships with guardian angels and Julia's family. I am really looking forward to reading the novellas and the next book in the series. I can't wait to see how the rest of the story will unfold!

    5. When Smoke Rains DownA stunning sequel full of love, courage and hope. I loved watching Julia's growth and journey. She's turning out to be a strong fierce woman. I look forward to seeing where she goes from here.I enjoyed the twists and turns the story took. I can't wait to see what happens next! This is definitely a sequel not to miss!

    6. Julia tries to form some order in her life, while her brother is still in the hospital. A great continuation of the first.

    7. I jumped in on this one because the premise was something I hadn't seen in a while and I was desperately in need of something refreshing and different. The thing is, I didn't really get that feeling as I was reading the first book in this series. I absolutely love all sorts of stories revolving around supernatural and paranormal concepts. This one reminded me of The Mortal Instruments, which I absolutely loved, so I figured why not jump in on something similar. Throughout the first book, though, [...]

    8. A lot has happened since the night of the battle between the angels and demons at the Homecoming Dance. Julia's mum and brother are slowly recovering from the blast at the diner, whilst Julia is spending more time with Nicholas. He wants to train her to realise her potential as a Hybrid, but Julia is not sure what to do for the best. To make things more confusing, Cole has disappeared and another figure from her past makes a reappearance.Another enjoyable read in this YA paranormal series. The f [...]

    9. 4.5 Stars! When Smoke Rains Down continues where When Ash rains Down ended; with Julia facing more demons and more unanswered questions. The plot was interesting and eventful. Even though the story started kinda slow, it then picked up. It was filled with action and also some mystery.Julia is unsure who to turn to for help and unsure who she can trust when Noah's mood turns dark and gloomy after being in the hospital. She decides to take matters into her own hands to find a way to cure him and fi [...]

    10. When "Smoke Rains Down" takes up "where Ash Rains Down" left off. Julia is worried about her mother and little brother and Cole has disappeared. Nicholas has taken over as her guardian Angel and her training Angel. When is Julia going to fully commit to being the Angel hybrid that she is.Julia get voted in for Prom Queen again this year with Nicholas as her prom King. Will this years prom go off without a hitch. who knows. Can't wait for the next book. This is one of my favorite series. I receiv [...]

    11. Spectacular world-building and excellent writing combine to make this a heart-thumping page-turner. A strong female main character who reminds me a bit of Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Highly recommend to fans of paranormal (angels vs. demons). Great secondary characters as well and the seemingly innocent town that has been chosen as the location for the final battleground is brought to life through these characters.

    12. Book 2 picks up about a month after book 1 ended, with Julia attempting to put er life back together after she learned that Angels and Demons are real, and she just happens to be part Angel. Not only is she trying to renovate her family restaurant that exploded from a demon attack, finish her senior year of high school, and not think about the missing boy she shouldn't like, but she is also trying to spend time with her best friend Mitch who should be grieving his girlfriend's death, but is inst [...]
